How to Insert Sound Files: Media Object

7a To insert a sound file, open INSERT menu and select MEDIA OBJECT. In the left example, the sound file is to be inserted after the image file.
8a If you select MEDIA OBJECT, you will get the warning "In order to create a relative link, the program will assume that your HTML file will be saved in the same location as your date file is currently saved." It is OK if you put your data file, a sound file like mp3, and the resultant html file in the same folder.

9a Choose a sound file by using BROWSE button.
Next, choose a player. We are not sure which player the user of your exercise file has installed. In the left example, Windows Media Player is selected. In case the specifierd player is not available to your user, check INCLUDE A SIMPLE LINK.
10a If the size of the player is specified as width=100 and height= 30, it looks like the left example.
12a Since sound files in aphasic rehab exercises just contain words and short phrases, only the PLAY button is needed. So, I usually make the width of the player 38, and its height 30.
20 Hot Potatoes automatically writes into the data file, "object classid = "CLSID: 6BF52A52-394A- 11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" width="38" height="30"> ...." If you want to change the player, you have to remove these lengthy scripts. Sometimes, you cannot remove them even if they appear to have been removed on the editting window. In that case, throw away the messy data file and make a new one.
The resultant html file looks like this.
