Noun + がち (の/な)+ Noun "tend to" "be prone to"
Verb (stem) + がち (の/な)+ Noun

「がち」is used to express the idea that
(1) one tends to do something, or
(2) something is more likely happen. Watch: It is negative in its implication.

明日はくもりがちの天気でしょう。(It will be mostly cloudy tomorrow.)
あの人はいつも遠慮がちに自分の意見を言う。(He always hesitantly speaks out his opinion.)
これは日本人の学生がしがちな間違いだ。
(This is the kind of mistake which Japanese students are apt to make.)
彼は最近、会社を休みがちだ。(Recently he tends to be absent from the office.)
